Back in 1953...
Walter Sovell purchased the Jewelry Store between the
Lake Theatre and Woolworth's store here in Fairmont,
Minnesota. The store had been operated by the late A. G.
Crooker, a local jeweler for 69 years. In the spring of 1964
Walter moved the store to the present location on Downtown
Plaza pursuing excellence in watch and fine jewelry sales...

...Continuing a
family tradition, Walter's son Steve joined his
father in the family business after graduating from
Jewelry Technology and Gemology School of Paris,
Texas in 1984. Walt remained Fairmont's most trusted
jeweler until his passing in 1987. Today, Steve
Sovell and his staff continue to offer the same
exceptional service his father provided over fifty
years ago. |
